After Delivery
• You can continue to monitor your baby’s growth and
development through newborn visits.
It is important to choose your hospital, your prenatal health
center, and your provider as early as possible in your pregnancy.
Answering the following questions will help you pick the right
one for your situation.
1. Where do you want to go for your prenatal care?
During your pregnancy, you will be seen regularly at a health
center so that your progress and the progress of your unborn baby
can be monitored. There are many health centers around the county
that offer a choice of hospitals for your delivery. It is very
important to see the same provider group each time, because they
will get to know you, your concerns, and your family.
2. Where do you want to deliver your baby?
We understand that pregnant women often want to be close to home
when it’s time to go to the hospital, so you’ll find
hospitals in our network that are conveniently located throughout
the county. For a high-risk delivery, patients are referred to
Stroger Hospital because it has the most specialized team of health
care professionals available.
